Haarbruch & Haarschäden

If your hair seems to stop at a certain length, the problem may be snap-off rather than shedding. Heat, colour, chemical processing, and tight styling wear down the cuticle until the strand fractures mid-shaft — and thinning hair breaks more easily, because each strand is already finer to begin with.

This collection strengthens the strand itself. Patented StimuCap® peptides work at the scalp through every wash, sacha inchi omega-3s and hydrolyzed wheat protein condition the keratin structure through the length, and marine collagen supplies amino acids from within.

How to tell breakage from shedding

Look at the ends of the hairs collecting in your brush. A shed hair has come away from the follicle and carries a small white bulb at one end; it is full length. A broken hair has no bulb, is shorter than the rest of your hair, and is often blunt or split at the break. A brush full of short, bulb-less fragments points to a strand problem rather than a follicle problem — and the answer there is mechanical, not nutritional.

The compounding risk

Finer hair breaks more easily, so thinning and breakage reinforce one another: as strands miniaturize they tolerate less heat, tension and processing than the same head of hair did five years ago.
