Thinning Hair

A widening part line. More scalp at the crown. A ponytail that feels half its old size. Thinning is the most common hair concern for both women and men — and it responds best when you address it early and from more than one direction. Every product here is physician-formulated by Dr. Susan Lin, M.D., drug-free, and usable with or without minoxidil or finasteride: verbascoside-based internal support, peptide scalp serums for targeted areas, and a StimuCap® wash system that treats while it cleans. Original physician-formulated since 2008.

What thinning actually is

Thinning is usually miniaturization rather than loss: follicles stay alive but produce progressively finer, shorter, less-pigmented strands until the coverage they give no longer hides the scalp. That is why a widening part appears before any bald patch, and why the hair you still have feels different in the hand. It also explains the timeline — because the change happens strand by strand across successive growth cycles, visible change from any approach is measured in months, not weeks. Photograph your part line in the same light every four weeks; it is a far more reliable record than memory.
